Kidney Stone Treatment
Kidney stones are commonly found in urinary diseases. Kidney stones are formed when urine contains an excess amount of crystal-forming substances like calcium, oxalate, uric acid which is more than the fluid in your urine to dilute. And at the same time, it lacks the substance used for preventing crystals from sticking together.
Causes of Kidney Stone:
- Dehydration- Deficiency of water in the body for carrying out normal body functions. It may occur due to less water intake or excess sweat come out of the body.
- The decrease in urine volume.
- Hereditary Factors

Symptoms of Kidney Stone:
- Blood in urine
- Pain in ribs, side, and back
- Lower Abdomen pain
- Red and pink color in urine.
- Cloudy Urine
- A tendency to urinate frequently
- If the infection spreads, fever and chill may occur

Diagnosis of Kidney Stone:
- Blood testing – to test the amount of calcium deposit in the urine.
- Urine testing – to examine substances that form stones.
- Imaging – include CT scan and X-ray to find out stones in Urinary tract
- Analysis of passed stones
Treatments of Kidney stone:
In normal Conditions, drinking 2 to 3 liters of water may cure your urinary problem. And in taking some prescribed medicines also effective for stones. But in major conditions, it needs further treatments based on the locations the stones found.
Prevention of Kidney tone:
- Drink 2-3 liters of water and maintain urine output to 2 liters daily.
- Manage sugar and salt intake
- Practice Eating Vegetarian Foods
- Drinking Milk which is not more than two cups.
- Eat Bananas, Citrus fruits(lime, orange), Tender coconut water, pineapple, Carrots, and bitter guard.
